Craig Whelan, Head of New Business, will be taking to Selby, Yorkshire, on 5th August for a Wing Walk – all proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
The event involves being strapped to the top of a Boeing Stearman biplane, all the way through from take-off to landing, which will travel at speeds of up to 135mph. The pilot will be taking the aircraft though barrel rolls and loops for a 10-15-minute period.
“This has been personally funded as a 30th Birthday present from my wife as it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time,” said Craig.
“I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to raise some money for a worthy cause, so I decided to choose Cancer Research UK.”

Members of Gorilla Accounting will be cycling the Lakes and Dales Loop, a 318km circuit, starting and ending in Kirkby Lonsdale, to raise funds for two local OnSide Youth Zone charities; Bolton Lads and Girls Club and Wigan Youth Zone.
The cycling challenge which covers 318 kilometres, will be undertaken across 3 days, with the hope to raise £10,000 for Wigan Youth Zone and Bolton Lads and Girls Club. Both charities are located in the North West, close to the Gorilla Accounting office.
The team will be captained by three expert riders, Norman Molyneux, Gordon Lane and Tim Murphy, Director of Gorilla Accounting. The team from Gorilla will be made up of Craig McCall, Operations and Technical Director and Team Leaders, Richard Hepburn and Adam Scholes.
We’re reaching closer to our target, but we need every donation to make a difference - donate through our Just Giving page today.
